ABOUT KITZIE

I’m a voice actor, or voice talent, voice over artist, VO, take your pick; but the bottom line is I’m someone who makes a living reading scripts into an expensive microphone. Here’s my Website: http://www.kitziestern.com. Most voice talents live their professional lives isolated in home studios or other padded rooms, although we sometimes have an outing to another studio. We have extensive and interesting phone relationships. I think my job is pretty cool, but it can also be uniquely nerve wracking. I’ll get into that later.Outside the basement studio activities include being a member of the Zonta Club of Corvallis http://www.zontacorvallis.org/. No one ever knows what Zonta is, so I’ll tell you; it’s an international organization with a mission of improving the status of women worldwide. We just finished up our annual auction, and we made a lot of money, most of which we’ll give away as scholarships to women returning to school. The auction proves this statement: “If you want something done well, get a couple of old broads to do it”. I’m also the program chair for the City Club of Corvallis http://www.cityclubofcorvallis.org/ The City Club is a very new thing for Corvallis. It’s a great concept; a group of people talking about substantive stuff without anyone hauling off and hitting each other. I like it, and I learned a lot about nuclear power at our last program.

Let’s see…what else? I’ve lived in London (6 months) and Tokyo (3 years). I’ve been a teacher, a madrigal singer (Philadelphia Bicentennial) rock singer (in an all-girls band in London), a disco singer and a jazz singer. I’ve had my time as a radio news D.J. and a television show host. I’ve also had an investment advisory practice. I’m happily married, and have two children.

I love my life, and I love my work. I hope you’ll enjoy my attempts to blog about both.
